Katie Castle and Shangan Theo Rific have claimed their second ticket for the 'Horse of the Year Show', this time in the Tri-zone Senior Newcomer Championships.

Katie was one of only two riders to jump clear in all three rounds of the qualifier held at South View, Cheshire.

Katie and Theo were fourth to go in the ten horse jump off and upto this point there were no clears but Katie still decided to 'go for it' as there were six horses to go after her. Katie said 'I went tight around all the corners but kept Theo in a good rythm, the only one I went around to was the last fence which was the planks, I pushed on round and took a stride out! It was a rather scarey moment but he jumped amazing!!'

Well done Katie and the very best of luck for the finals.
